About the event

Mindfulness, slowing and deepening the breath, and moving our bodies are all things we know we should be doing but with our busy lives, it's hard to find the time.

This workshop with the team at Sun Salute will be your chance to take time out of your busy schedule to make time for you, your breath, and your body to affect your state of mind.

The team will be sharing their lived experiences and the tools they have utilised to settle their minds through movement. This will be a space for you to gather practical tools to do the same.

Throughout this workshop, you will learn actionable and practical tools to:

✅  Journey inwards using breath and movement

✅ Observe the mental and emotional impressions that are reflected in the body

✅  Still the turnings of the mind’ … citta vrtti nirodaha (The essence of yoga)

✅ Use what you already have to get started in the practice of yoga

If you’re 18-35(ish), join us for this workshop to meet like-valued people, find inspiration and hope, and learn to lead with love through self-discovery.

About Sun Salute

Katie began yoga in her early 20’s after a few classes in Melbourne. For about 10 years she taught yoga from books and occasional classes she’d attend, delivering them to her fellow small-town villagers in the mountains of Nth East Victoria, Australia. She says: I find yoga practice to somehow ground, sustain and to light the way, no matter what life brings.

Katie has run Sun Salute Yoga since February 2007. Ashtanga Yoga has been a part of her life since 2006 and since 2020 Katie has embarked on a 3 year Yoga Therapist training with the KHYF in Chennai, India.
