About the event
To know where you are going, you must remember where you have been. Have you ever wondered what your purpose is? Are you curious what it means to be in tune with your intuition? What would it feel like to know you already have everything you need to get started?
We know it can be challenging to believe in yourself or understand you already have the skills you need in a world that is constantly selling you the next best thing.
That’s why we have brought together Ioana Marsters and Joshua Rameka to facilitate this Dreamshop. They are going to share their lived experiences and the tools they have utilised to remember the lessons of their ancestors. This will be a space for you to hear stories and gather practical tools to do the same.
In this workshop you will learn how to:
✅Listen to and align your karaputoro
✅Embody the mana within yourself
✅Get started with what you already have
✅Experience tupuna teaching through oriori and oorangatonutanga
If you’re 18-35(ish), join us for this Dreamshop to meet like-valued people, find inspiration and hope, and bring your tupuna on your journey of healing. 💛
About Ioana
Hamilton born Ioana Marsters attended a rongoa Maori wanaanga in 2017 and fell in love! With the guidance of her kaiako Moana Skipwith-Lousi, Atarangi Muru, Makuini Ruth Tai, Manu Korewha and Bill Mundy
Ioana was able to obtain the tools to dive straight into the deep end. Ioana has since been learning and working with ancestral teachings from the Pacific and Aotearoa to introduce traditional healing practices to her life and family
About Joshua:
Joshua’s journey of self-discovery within te ao maori has been one of healing, as he began to step into the footsteps of his tupuna and see his world through their eyes.
In 2017 Joshua started his hikoi into Māori healing learning elements of nga whanau o miri, from sitting in wananga with his kaiako Atarangi Muru, Manu Korewha and Moana Skipwith-Lousi and Oro Atua Puoro wananga with Jerome Kavanagh, to work through his own healing.
He now invites others to take this hikoi of healing together through his mahi as a rongoa maori practitioner at Tu tonu and a facilitator with Poutama Rites of Passage, working with tane to become poutane and tama as they go through rites of passage to become tama tane.
