To celebrate our second birthday, we’re incredibly stoked to be hosting none other than Brianne West for an evening of storytelling as she shares her road to remarkable at this all ages event!
In the increasingly fast-paced and results driven culture we live in, it can be hard to find space to breathe, to replenish. This October, Seed Waikato is opening that space for you. We want to provide you with the tools you need to revitalise, find your centre, and nourish your body.
THIS IS A FREE EVENT! REGISTRATIONS ARE LIMITED.
We have officially hit capacity on this event. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the waitlist and you’ll be notified when a space opens up. Thanks for your interest!
Let’s give a sh*t about local politics!
There’s an election coming up this October that will determine the future of our city and our region for the next few years. Don’t really know what it’s all about?
We’re here to help you #adult, demystifying everything you need to know about the local elections this year, and why you should give a sh*t. Plus we’re asking the hard-hitting questions to all the young candidates running for elections across the region, Cards Against Humanity style.
With live entertainment!
This is a free event, and you need to register to attend via the form above. Unfortunately there won't be door registrations, and if you arrive and haven't registered, you won't be able to enter the event.
DISCLAIMER: Seed Waikato have invited all candidates running for Council from across the region who are 35 or under to speak at this event. This event is specifically designed to encourage younger people to participate in local elections, and will tautoko other events that create space for the other candidates, as they understand many people over the age of 35 care about the issues young people do, and can and do create change on those issues.
‘Paper’ Matt Shea is not only a great pun, but also a candidate for Hamilton City Council West Ward.
Born in Hamilton but raised in Te Kauwhata, Matt studied Law at the University of Waikato and has been a business owner on both sides of the city before moving into education.
In 2019, Matt’s campaign will focus on speeding up our Council’s processes, an actually functional CBD, and giving individuals and communities the autonomy to thrive in our city through responsible decision-making.
Come and hear from epic young people across a range of creative industries! We can guarantee you’ll leave feeling inspired to dream a little bigger, have hope in the face of your challenges, and feel more connected to an epic group of millennials.
We all desire to be remarkable. And the thing is, with innovation and dedication, we can be. Drawing on the Thankyou story, Daniel will inspire and motivate you to recognise your greatness, and demonstrate how to adapt bold, out-of–the-box thinking to change the game and make an impact in your life.
Nau mai, haera mai. Have your say on the Hamilton City Council's proposed 10-year plan!
