Seed Waikato, Hamilton Young Professionals, Let's Lead, FLINT, Zeal and The Creators are stoked to be co-hosting a workshop with the Hamilton City Council to make sure YOU can have your say on their proposed 10-Year Plan.
If you're a young professional, creative, tradie, entrepreneur, volunteer, student or *insert other label*, nau mai haere mai, this is our time to share our voice as the 18-30 year olds of Hamilton City.
This workshop will help you understand how to contribute to shape the future of your city - Hamilton. The 18-30 year olds perspectives are vital to ensure this long-term city plan meets our needs! Did you know 23% of the population in Hamilton City is aged 18-30? Let's come together, and tell our Council what matters most to us.
Public consultation on the Council’s proposed 10-Year Plan opens on 29 March 2018, and this opportunity gives our collective a space to have our say on the plan before it is finalised.
The best way to be heard is by delivering a strong and clear submission, and we'll be working hard to make sure this happens. We have invited Councillors and Hamilton City Council staff so you can speak with them directly and ask them your questions. Format is as follows:
- Introduction to 10-Year Plan
- Key themes and proposals in the proposed plan
- What it means for us
- How we can make a submission
Please share this event with your friends and whaanau! If you are a group working with 18-30 year olds, we'd love to partner with you to make sure your members are heard at this hui. Please get in touch if you'd like to co-host this event.
This is a FREE EVENT, and we invite you to please register so we can organise refreshments and a place to sit for you all.
