Kia ora you.. yes you! Seed Waikato's House of Learning is opening its doors for the very first time. Nau mai haere mai!

We’re running an experiment. An experiment that brings together 15 young people who are willing to participate in a six week programme aimed at growing self. Anything is possible when you realise what is possible within yourself. House of Learning is about developing your potential, and empowering you to realise just how important your contribution to the world really is.

You found us because you want more. You are on the hunt to be the best version of yourself. You want to improve your ability to journey through life, if only you had the right tools. Well look no further my fellow millennial, you've come to the right place! Dust your shoes off, kick your feet up and make yourself at home. Our House of Learning is a safe place for dreaming and doing to happen. We offer game changing content that will take you on a journey of self directed learning, specifically designed so that you can make this learning anything you need it to be.

We are passionate about bringing diverse groups of people together. We want to see students, volunteers, tradies, young professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs and social change-makers come together under our House of Anything, no matter what your ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or gender.

Our first course is: The Road to Resilience. This was a no brainer! It is what you, the people have asked for.

How does it works?

  • x6 weekly online educational videos -- these will revolutionise the way you talk to yourself, the relationship you have with yourself, the expectations you put on yourself.

  • x6 weekly online educational resources that will support you in drilling deeper on your learning journey

  • x2 group calling caching sessions with none other than Briony McKenzie, founder of Untapped.

  • Game changing strategies that you can use on the daily, all aimed at allowing you to become the best version of yourself

  • Connections to a community of like-valued people through a members only Facebook Group

  • Oh.. and of course, membership to the oh-so exciting, House of Learning.

What will you learn?

Week 1: START FROM THE BEGINNING, NOW WE HERE. What is resilience? Why does it matter? So many questions and we're here to help you find some answers. During this week there will also be a group coaching call, to make sure that you are heading off in the right direction. There’s nothing worse that starting and having no idea where you are going!

Week 2: YOU ARE NOT ALONE. How do I become resilient? With three easy steps. Plan it. Track it. Be deliberate about it.

Week 3: STAY THE COURSE. To build new habits and undo old the ones you don't like is hard work. Lean into the discomfort of something new, be deliberate about what you do. This will only work if you stay the course, my friend.

Week 4: LET'S GET REAL. It's time for a reality check. Is this process working for you? Why? Why not? We have strategies to optimise your resilience and during this week there will be another group coaching call, a check in so-to-speak. To make sure that you are getting what you need from this programme.

Week 5: YOU GOT THIS! This is a time for reinforcing resilience strategies that work for you. Become your own guru. You know what works best for you!

Week 6: WHERE TO NEXT? A time for reflection, celebration and figuring out where to next?

This is for you if....

  • You enjoy being in control of your own learning

  • You respond well to accountability check ins

  • You want to uncover your blind spots

  • You want to develop your potential

  • You want to learn how to develop your resilience

  • You want to be part of an inspiring community

Alright, you’re speaking to me. I’m keen. How much does it cost and how do I sign up?

If this is something that resonates with you, you can apply via the button below. As this is the first course of our experiment, we are running this on a koha (donation) basis. This means at the end of course you can pay what you think it is worth + what you can afford.

Applications close 7 April at 3pm, and we’ll be in touch with shortlisted applicants soon after. The course is due to start mid-April.

Big aroha to Len Reynolds Trust, who have funded this pilot. Their leadership and belief in not only our kaupapa, but who we are, is SERIOUSLY amazing.

APPLICATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED, AND THE PROGRAMME WILL RE-OPEN IN 2020.
