One of our strategic intentions is to improve the wellbeing of young people in the Waikato. The purpose of our May & June collaborations is to support wellbeing in a holistic, inclusive, unexpected and fun way for our young collective.
We are collaborating with four organisations to bring this to life, using the aspects of the Te Whare Tapa Whā holistic Māori health model. The model likens the structure of a wharenui to the four dimensions of Māori wellbeing; taha tinana (physical wellbeing), taha wairua (spiritual wellbeing), taha whānau (family and social wellbeing) and taha hinengaro (mental wellbeing).
The activities provided by each organisation will be subsidised by Seed Waikato to increase the number of you participating in wellbeing from May 16 - June 20.
These offers are open to those aged 15-30.
If you're looking to find other people to head along to these activities with, jump into our closed Facebook Group and feel free to put a post up and #hollaaaaaa
